Latest Technologies Available!

DCN Solutions has access to all the latest technologies in Perth, including Solid State hard drives (SSD's). These drives have no moving parts and use a parallel bus architecture, so there is no spin up time or defragmentation needed... EVER! The down side is that these drives are still fairly expensive (about 10x more than the equivalent size in a SATA hard drive) individual data cells only have a limited lifecycle of around 10,000 to 100,000 read/write cycles. However, this drive would be perfect for storing data files and running database applications extremely quickly, such as MYOB, Quickbooks, and any of the DCN Solutions Job Trackers, Business Managers and Mailing List Editors!

PCs Need Dusting!

One thing that I have noticed that people do not do is a physical clean of computers. Some of the computers that I have seen are so clogged with pet hair, dust and cigarette smoke, that fans have stopped working, and they overheat! Should I get an iPad?

The iPad is the new "must have" gadget to take to world by storm, but should you rush out and get one? A quick Google search will reveal that there have been teething problems with the wireless networking, and print support. DCN Solutions advises to wait at least 12 months (as with any new technology) for the teething problems to be addressed.
